Summer is for music

Summer is for music, dancing and friends. Photos taken by me. Primavera Sound and Sonar Festival.

The Virgin Suicides

So, I've just finished reading The Virgin Suicides and I absolutely love it. It is an enthralling book that I can't put down - I read it in three days which is a really short period of time for me, I'm such a lazy and slow reader -. It's that perfect book to read in those warm and lazy summer days, under a shady tree while eating some cherries. I just felt the need to share that.
I really enjoyed the film too, the aesthetic and all, so I'm just leaving you some stills.

I know, too many pics, but it's always hard for me to make choices, they're all from weheartit

Graveyard Girl: the style of Effy Stonem

-->
Today I got a little nostalgic and I decided to rewatch some of my favourite Skins episodes. I had a craving for Skins' second generation, for Naomi, Emily, Pandora but especially for Cook, Freddie and Effy. Oh, Effy, love her or loathe her. I am among the first ones and one of the things I like about her is her style: grungy, a little goth but always sexy. So, I decided to write a post about her and then continue with a serie of entries about other Skins characters who stand out because of their style, like Cassie or Grace.
So, here we go with Effy Stonem.

Effy, played by Kaya Scodelario, is what you call a hot mess. She's mysterious and quiet, but also sexy and rebellious. Magnetic and wild, her wardrobe shows that: dark colours, leather jackets, combat boots, short dresses, tons of bracelets and necklaces, and smokey eye makeup compose her signature look.
